
EU Regional Office
The EU Regional Office is hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen. It supports the following Max Planck Institutes in the region:
- Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Tübingen
- Max Planck Institute for Biology, Tübingen
- Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics, Freiburg
- Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law, Freiburg
The office’s mission is to promote the participation of Max Planck scientists in European Union and nationally funded research programmes and related activities.
It provides:
- Information and expert advice on EU and national funding opportunities, programmes, and policies
- Comprehensive support during proposal preparation
- Assistance with contract negotiations and project management
- Help with cost calculation
- Guidance on transnational researcher mobility and ERC grants
- Strategic advice and profile development (individual or group level)
- Specialized training sessions and career guidance for early-career researchers
On-site consultation is regularly available and can also be arranged upon request.
