Title: From biochemistry/RNA biology to translational immunology/immunotherapy: “challenges of moving to a different research field"
Speaker: Dr. Latifa Zekri, Senior Scientist, Dept. of Immunology, University of Tübingen
Latifa is a molecular and cell biologist with a strong biochemical background. She obtained her PhD at the CNRS-Institute of Molecular Genetics in Montpellier and then moved to Tübingen for a postdoctoral position at the MPI for Developmental Biology - in the lab of Elisa Izaurralde. In 2015, she joined the DKTK-DKFZ consortium at the Department of Immunology, University of Tübingen, as a Senior Research Scientist. Since then, she has obtained a permanent position at DKFZ and became a junior group leader in the translational immunology clinical cooperation unit at the university hospital of Tübingen.
She will give an insight into the challenges she has faced and tips for handling them.
The presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A-session.
